Minister
Trevor Jamison has been the Minister of Billericay United Reformed Church since September 2006. He is also Minister of the URC congregations in Brentwood and Ingatestone. Ordained in 1995, he previously worked with two urban congregations in Liverpool and then as Adult Education Officer for the URC Northern Synod. He has degrees in theology from Oxford University and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Trevor’s priorities in ministry:
- Helping people to grow in their understanding and relationship with God in ways that make sense in the early twenty-first century.
- Supporting people as they seek to integrate how they live their lives with what they believe.
- Developing congregations as bodies of purposeful, shared activity – worship, learning (both experiential and intellectual), evangelism, care, justice and service.
Trevor was born and grew up in Northern Ireland but has lived in England since 1983. He is married with one son. He is an avid reader of novels, history books and detective stories. He also spends time walking in the countryside, camping, riding his bike and making intermittent efforts to get fit.
